When I see a bundle, I usually assume it saves money. So when I noticed that Yoto sells bundles and gift sets, I expected a deal. There were so many of them that I got confused and ordered individual items instead. Later I realised I needed to understand what was going on, so I sat down with a calculator.
Types of bundles
The first thing I realised was that not all bundles are the same. If I had to categorise them, there are:
- Player, accessory and content bundles. A Mini or a Player 3rd Gen with a jacket or headphones and a Bluey card. Yoto calls these bundles or gift sets.
- Player and content only. A 4th Gen Mini with two Wicked cards, for example.
- Content bundles by age.Yoto also sorts its bundles into 0-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9+, with a Players & Accessories group.
Bundle pricing
To see whether these bundles actually save anything, I looked up the price of each item inside a bundle, added them up, and compared the total with the bundle price. The crossed-out price turned out to be just the list prices added together, and Yoto's Fall Sale (as of October 2026) takes 30% off that, or 10% on the 4th Gen bundles.
What the badge does not say, however, is that the parts are on sale separately too. Buy the items in the first bundle below one at a time and you already pay about 22% less than the list price, so the bundle saves only about 10% on top of that. The 30% is measured against a price nothing is currently selling at.
I priced four bundles that include a player on Yoto's US store during the Fall Sale (10 October 2026). Prices are in dollars, and every country has its own prices and sales, so take the percentages as the finding and the dollars as the working.
| Bundle | Parts bought separately, at sale prices | Bundle price | What the bundle saves |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Mini (2024 Edition) + Adventure Jacket + Bluey card | $90.22 | $81.17 | $9.05 (10.0%) |
| 2. Player 3rd Gen + Adventure Jacket + Bluey card | $117.97 | $107.07 | $10.90 (9.2%) |
| 3. Mini (2024 Edition) + Wireless Headphones + Bluey card | $106.72 | $96.57 | $10.15 (9.5%) |
| 4. Mini 4th Gen + two Wicked cards | $139.97 | $125.97 | $14.00 (10.0%) |
I checked the EU store as well, and the pattern is the same: about 13% on the 3rd Gen bundles, with one exception. The 4th Gen Mini bundle with the two Wicked cards cost 4.20 euros more than its parts, because the EU sale left the new players out while the cards alone were 15% off.
Savings
So if you were going to buy every item in the box anyway, a bundle saves a small amount: about 10% in the US. If you were not, I would honestly not let 10% off tempt me into buying things I do not need. The discount sits in the accessory, so without it the player and the card are cheaper on their own.
The 3rd Gen bundles are the ones I would look at twice. If you are not interested in the newer features of the 4th Gen, and you were going to buy the player, the accessory and the card anyway, then about 10% off is a nice bonus.
Sometimes the bundles do not even save anything. The EU 4th Gen bundle I checked costs 4.20 euros more than the same items bought separately, while the same bundle in the US saves 10%. It depends on the store and on which products the sale covers.
The bottom line is that the bundles do not save much, and I would always compare the prices of the individual items against the pack.
Where to buy
Some links here earn us a small commission if you buy. It costs you nothing and it does not decide what goes on this page — the things we think are not worth the money are listed as exactly that. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Yoto's own store is not the only place. The Yoto Player 3rd Gen and the Yoto Mini 4th Genare also sold on Amazon. Those links go to Amazon's US store, and prices there change more often than a sale page does, so run the same sum with both before you decide.
Quick answers
- Are Yoto bundles worth it?
- Only if you would buy every item in them anyway. Against the same parts bought separately at sale prices, the bundles we priced saved about 10%, and one 4th Gen bundle cost slightly more than its parts.
- How much do you save with a Yoto bundle?
- Yoto shows 30% off, but that is measured against full list prices. The parts are also on sale separately, so the real saving on the four US bundles we checked was 9% to 10%.
- Is a Yoto bundle cheaper than buying the items separately?
- In the US, yes, by about 10%. In the EU, mostly yes, but a Mini 4th Gen bundle with two Wicked cards cost 4.20 euros more than its parts.
- Do Yoto 4th Gen bundles have a discount?
- It depends on the store. In the US Fall Sale they were 10% off. In the EU Autumn Sale the sale did not cover the 4th Gen players, so the bundle was priced at full list prices while the cards inside were 15% off on their own.
- What is in a Yoto bundle?
- A player, plus either an accessory and a card, or two cards. The contents are fixed, so you cannot swap the card for another.
- When should I buy a Yoto bundle?
- When you would buy every item in it anyway. Add up what each item costs now, compare the total with the bundle price, and buy the bundle only if it is clearly lower.
