Yoto player chargers, docks and cables
Charging is where the generations differ most. The dock suits the full-size players only, and the player itself comes without a plug.

Somewhere to put it down that also charges it
Wireless Charging Dock

Charge by setting the player on the dock instead of plugging a cable in each time. It has a 1.5m USB-C cable attached, and Yoto suggests it for travel or for an extra Yoto zone around the house. It works with the Yoto Player 4th Gen and 3rd Gen.
The catch: It does not work with the Yoto Mini or the 2nd Gen player, so it only helps if you own a full-size player of the right generation. It is sold separately from the player.

Which plug and cable do I actually need?
A 5W USB plug and the supplied USB-C cable

The 3rd Gen player comes with a 1.5m USB-A to USB-C cable and no plug. Any USB plug of at least 5W works, and a stronger one is fine because the player only draws what it needs. The Mini sold since spring 2024 charges over USB-C too.
The catch: Yoto recommends the supplied cable so the player can control the power source, which makes a spare cable from the drawer a second choice. This is guidance rather than a product, so there is nothing to buy here unless the plug has gone missing.
